Peninsula Cottages is a development of waterside holiday properties nestled around a private marina just off the River Bure and close to the heart of the village. The village itself is actually called Hoveton which is a direct neighbour of Wroxham on the opposite side of the river. Wroxham is often referred to as "the Capital of the Broads" and is home to the famous Roys of Wroxham (a department store and supermarket).
Staying in one of the Peninsula Cottages offers plenty of local activities to enjoy, including hiring a day boat in Wroxham, taking a trip to visit the Bure Valley Railway, Wroxham Miniature Worlds, or BeWilderwood at Horning (the next village). For a 'green day out', hire a bike to explore the scenery of the Broads or take to the water on a stand up paddleboard or water bike.
The Broads is also a popular destination for those wishing to enjoy river fishing whilst on holiday and the upper River Bure is famous for large Pike with sizes ranging from 10lb up to 30lb. Please note that the closed fishing season applies to the 15th March – 15th June inclusive.
